Rene Ronquillo

Rene A. Ronquillo serves as the department’s Director of Operations and is a sworn peace officer.  He is a Human Resources executive with more than 20 years of proven leadership experience in a variety of settings in both the public and private sector.  His exceptional skill sets and cultural competencies include employee / labor relations, talent acquisition, process management, policy compliance, benefits / compensation, training, and staff development.  Ronquillo has a successful track record of hands-on executive interaction with a proven ability to align the department's goals with the District’s vision, mission, and strategy to improve all key organizational metrics.  He received his BA from the University of Dubuque and his MPA from Texas Christian University.
