The Police Patrol Division is the primary field operations unit of the Dallas ISD Police Department, providing proactive law enforcement services and rapid emergency response throughout the district. Patrol officers work around the clock to safeguard Dallas ISD schools, facilities, students, employees, and visitors by maintaining a highly visible presence and responding quickly to calls for service.

As the department's first responders, Patrol officers are dedicated to preserving a safe educational environment through professionalism, vigilance, and community partnership.

What We Do

The Police Patrol Division provides comprehensive law enforcement services by:

• Conducting proactive patrols of Dallas ISD campuses, administrative buildings, and district properties.

• Responding to emergency and non-emergency calls for service.

• Protecting students, staff, and visitors during school hours, extracurricular activities, and special events.

• Investigating initial criminal incidents and documenting reports.

• Enforcing Texas laws and Dallas ISD policies to maintain a safe learning environment.

• Assisting with crisis response, emergency evacuations, and critical incidents.

• Supporting traffic safety operations during student arrival and dismissal.

• Collaborating with Campus Police, Criminal Investigations, Traffic Enforcement, Gang Unit, Emergency Management, and Police Communications to ensure coordinated district-wide public safety.
