The REO ensures a cornerstone of success for all students by providing access to Proficient 1 teachers and additional academic resources.
- Early Hiring Supports afford high priority campus (HPC) leaders the opportunity to interview and hire teacher candidates before non HPCs for the purpose of closing the Proficient 1+ teacher gap. HCM provides this opportunity prior to each job fair.
- Literacy Acceleration Specialists diagnose, prescribe, and administer differentiated reading strategies to first through fifth grade students who have yet to master grade level reading expectations.
- High Priority Campus (HPC) Teacher Stipends were increased to recruit and retain Proficient 1+ teachers at high priority campuses.
- African American Studies is a high school course that exposes students of all ethnicities to AA culture, contributions, and events, using resources from Black History 365.
Instructional Equity Pillar Metric
Pillar 1 Metric: For this pillar, we assess students’ access to high-quality instruction, measured through the percent of students assigned to a teacher rated Proficient I or higher on TEI.
Target: Our target for this measure is based on the percentage of teachers identified as Proficient I or higher on TEI. As a result, the target may shift slightly between years.
