Hispanic Heritage Month

In 1988, Congress established September 15 through October 15 as Hispanic Heritage Month (HHM), a time to honor the history, culture, and contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities. Throughout this month, Dallas ISD offers a variety of engaging programs and activities that celebrate, empower, and highlight the rich cultural heritage of our students. The Office of School Improvement (OSI) encourages schools to explore these resources, not only during HHM but as tools to enrich lessons and spark meaningful conversations all year long.
