EXPLORE ACADEMIC DECATHLON

Academic Decathlon is a theme-based, ten-event scholastic team competition wherein students match their intellect with students from other schools. Nine-Member teams are comprised of: 3 Honors (A Students); 3 Scholastic (B Students); and 3 Varsity (C Students).

When is the State Competition?

Friday - Sunday, Feb 27- March 1, 2026

How do I register?

If qualified by regional Scores/placement register through Texas ACDEC.
Registration will be due Monday, Feb. 2, 2026.

Where will the State Competition be held?

Collin College Preston Ridge Campus - Medium Schools
Texas A&M Corpus Christi - Top 15 Small Schools

What will be provided?

Food, travel, and lodging will be provided for the teams that qualify.

When will the Essays be written?

The essays will be written on campus on Feb. 11, 2026.
