    Janice Hackler, Special Education / Inclusion Teacher

     Schools attended and degrees obtained:

    Texas Tech University, the home of the mighty RED RAIDERS, in Lubbock, Texas is where I earned both of my degrees in Education. I hold a B.S. degree in Elementary Education with a Special Education endorsement. My Master of Education degree is for Educational Administration and Mid-Management Certification. Guns Up, Red Raiders!!!!!

     

    Where are you From?

    I grew up in a small town in East Texas, Pittsburg, Texas.

    The area is well known for growing peaches. It is the home of Pittsburg Hot Links, and Pilgrim Pride chickens. It is also surrounded by beautiful lakes, and many people from the city go there to enjoy fishing and camping.

     

    Any hobbies or pastimes?

    In my spare time I enjoy reading and watching "Old Movies" on TCM. I also enjoying watching and keeping up with all of the Texas Tech sport's teams.

     

    Any comments or advice for our students?

    Never be afraid to ask questions! The only "dumb" question is the ONE you never ask!

    Taipei School for the Deaf and Blind ( 4 years In Elementary School) in Taiwan. Tainan School for the Deaf and Blind ( 1 year in Elementary School) in Taiwan. West Virginia School for the Deaf and Blind ( High School)- Outstanding PE award in 1972.

    with BS in Home Economics.


    Where are you From?

    I was born in Taiwan and attended Taipei School for the Deaf and Blind ( Elementary School). I was 15 years old when we moved to WVA with my family to be with my late father until his retirement. So we moved to Denton,TX from Long Island, NY, where my late husband's hometown after my parents got settled here in TX. in 1990"s...


    Any hobbies or pastimes?

    Any sports at school except swimming.

    Reading, knitting, crocheting and computer ( games- present)


    Any comments or advice for our students?

    Focus on their goals to get done, but never give up for what you can not have or can not get impossible things done. Try to do their best on their efforts and school tasks.
