Birdie Alexander Elementary School strives to meet the academic, social, and emotional needs of students as we prepare them to be college and workforce ready. We work as a professional learning community to increase student achievement by promoting a strong academic foundation as well as character education. We believe all students can learn and achieve when supported through effort-based learning.
In an effort to produce lifelong learners, students are challenged to produce quality, authentic work through a rigorous, coherent curriculum. Through hard work, dedication, and collaborative efforts, we continue to provide the best education for each child.
The school staff connects with parents and the community to ensure student success. Our staff hosts monthly academic workshops for parents on subjects from preliteracy to hands-on science. Other parent involvement opportunities include assisting in classrooms, participating in PTA, and serving on the Site-Based Decision Making committee.
