Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Casey Stewart

Originally, I am from Muskogee, Oklahoma.  I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. Previously, I taught for 8 years in San Bernardino USD, Plano ISD, and Mesquite ISD.

I earned my Master’s degree in Counseling from Texas A&M-Commerce.  This is my 12th year as a Counselor in Dallas ISD.  I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, a National Certified Counselor, and a Registered Play Therapist.

Currently, I live in East Dallas with my husband and two sons.

It is difficult for me to communicate what I know, believe, and have experienced about counseling children in a few words.  I believe the problems children experience do not live separate from who they are.  As a counselor, I have to be open to receive the subtle messages they need to share and accept their individual uniqueness.  Children have their own personalities and experience feelings and reactions just the same as adults and we cannot discount their experiences. All children have dignity and worth.  I help them experience, explore, appreciate, and create their own world through counseling.
