    Fourth Grade Math & Science

My name is Amy Drury, and I’m delighted to be part of the Hexter Hawk family as a fourth grade math and science teacher!

I’m an East Dallas native. East Dallas is truly the best part of Dallas! I grew up in Lakewood and attended Lakewood Elementary, J.L. Long Middle School, and Woodrow Wilson High School.

I graduated from UNT with my Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership. This will be my 20th year teaching.

Over the span of my teaching career, I have taught just about every elementary grade level. A majority of my years were spent teaching 4th and 5th grade in Carrollton Farmers Branch ISD. For the past six years, I have been a Talented and Gifted teacher at another campus in Dallas ISD.

My classroom at Hexter will be a warm and positive space for students to thrive. I look forward to partnering with Hexter parents and staff to ensure that all students are provided with the best possible education and equipped with the tools needed to help them be successful in their future endeavors in life!

In my free time, I love to cook, try new local restaurants, and spend time outdoors with my husband and our daughters. I’m also a Hexter parent. My twin daughters are in second grade here. We live in Old Lake Highlands, so we might see you out and about around the neighborhood!
