Hugh Henderson has been an educator for nearly 30 years, both as a teacher and district administrator. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Physics at Stephen F. Austin State University, a Master of Arts in Physics and Teaching at the University of Texas at Dallas, and an Advanced Graduate Studies certificate at Regent University. After teaching physics at Plano Senior High School for 21 years, he served as the K-‐12 Science Coordinator for Birdville ISD for 6 years. He served for two years as the Executive Education Pastor at NorthWood Church in Keller before returning to the classroom to teach physics at Haltom High School. Hugh has served on numerous state and national committees, such as the AP Physics Test Development Committee, the AP Physics 1 and 2 Redesign Committee, the Physics TEKS Revision Committee, and the History and Philosophy of Physics Committee for the American Institute of Physics. He is a recipient of the Siemens Award for Advanced Placement, and has written several books and articles in the areas of test preparation, inquiry learning, teacher training, and the history and philosophy of science. He has a passion for the history of physics, particularly as it relates to art and literature. Hugh and his wife Rachel have two teenage sons, Drew and Connor.
