Fresh Fruit & Vegetable Program
Starks is now part of the Fresh Fruit & Vegetable Program which is sponsored through the Department of Agriculture. Each week students are provided with a fresh fruit or vegetable to consume. They are also given the opportunity to write about their experience and solve math problems relating to the selected fruit or vegetable.
Future Leaders Program
Five of our 5th grade students have been selected to participate in the Future Leaders Program sponsored by the law firm of Bickel and Brewer.
The students selected receive great opportunities to further their education through a partnership that exists between DISD teachers and the teachers from St. Marks and Hockaday schools in North Dallas.
