He then returned to Oklahoma and attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University, working his way through the entire undergraduate music education program – instrumental and vocal – before graduating with a Master of Music Education degree, with emphasis in vocal music ed.
His first teaching job was as assistant choir director and music theory teacher at Judson High School in Converse, Texas, just outside San Antonio. Later, he taught high school social studies and then high school maths at the Bexar County Juvenile Justice Academy, an alternative education program for students from all around the San Antonio area who had been expelled from their regular schools.
After two years at BCJJA, Dibler had added mathematics to his teaching certificate and moved to Fox Tech High School in downtown San Antonio.
Mr. Dibler took a hiatus from teaching and returned to Oklahoma for a time, but he couldn’t stay completely out of the classroom. He began serving Weatherford (OK) Public Schools as a secondary-level substitute.
Mr. Dibler joined BTWHSPVA at the end of September, 2015.
