Print your Summer Reading Logs and activities here.Barnes and Noble - Summer Reading ProgramStudents in grades 1-6 read 8 books and earn a free book from a selected (and great!) list of grade-appropriate books! Keep track of your reading, share your favorite, and see the list of free book choices using their reading journal in English or Spanish.Dallas Public Library - Mayor's Summer Reading ProgramStudents and families can participate in activities virtually through the Dallas Public Library branches and can earn a variety of free rewards by reading 20 minutes a day and logging minutes online or in print.
New for 2020, Scholastic introduces Scholastic Home Base, a free digital destination which offers full books, live events, and games. Kids track their reading to earn rewards and unlock book donations. Find more information in English or Spanish.
The Pizza Hut Book It! program offers personal pizza prizes for reading, just like during the school year! Also offered are tips and activities online. Check out the program and author spotlights, ideas and family activities here.These are just a few of the many options to keep kids reading and prevent "the summer slide". Check local businesses, such as kids consignment stores, local shops, restaurants, etc. to see if they participate in summer reading incentive programs. Reading always pays off, but free incentives for summer reading are an added bonus!
