Note: Per District policy student records are only available to those who have authorization from the student or parent, guardian or responsible person if the student is less than 18 years of age. If the student is 18 years of age or older, school records will not be release to a parent, guardian, or responsible person without the student’s written consent and photo identification.
Copies of student records are available at a cost: Transcripts $8.00 each / Elementary/Middle School Records $8.00 each / Census Card $8.00 each/Diplomas $15.00 each (Diplomas will take four to six weeks to process, all other request will take seven to ten business days, this time does not include mail)
*Dallas ISD is only required to retain PK-8th grade student records from date of withdrawn plus five years. Majority of the records are disposed of based on the district’s retention schedule, which begin at date of withdrawn or graduated.
Current students must obtain their transcript/academic records/forms needing attention at their currently enrolled campus. The students’ academic record will transfer with the student to their currently enrolled campus.
***Special Education Records or Special Programs:
Records are only retained by the district for a period of five years from the date of withdrawn or graduated. If you are needing assist, contact the Special Education Department.

The Department of Student Record Services is currently open but is closed to walk-ins unless you have an appointment. You will not be allowed in the building unless you have an appointment already scheduled.
