Established in 1996, Julian T. Saldivar Elementary School is a comprehensive learning community for students in prekindergarten through fifth grade. Julian T. Saldivar, the first Mexican American physician in Dallas, provided our school with a legacy of academic excellence, character, and civic responsibility. The SCHOLARS continue to live up to the name.
Saldivar Elementary is located in the Bachman Lake area of North Dallas and exemplifies a global community. Our faculty, staff, and families represent five continents and literacy in several languages. Our goal is to provide our students with a solid foundation of academics, creativity, and strength of character to excel in a global society.
Faculty, parents, and community partners at Julian T. Saldivar are dedicated to the increased academic achievement of all students. We firmly believe that effort creates ability; therefore, we plan and execute learning opportunities to produce academically successful Scholars. Stakeholders collaborate to sponsor several learning endeavors including PTA, Site-Based Decision Making committee, family learning nights, Read-a-brations, and Saldivar science and research demonstrations.
“Education is our vision and achievement is our mission.” Through dedication and rigorous instruction, students will attain Saldivar Scholar Success (S³). Learning and growing exponentially is synonymous with Julian T. Saldivar Elementary School.
