    Artist Carolyn Thomas-chew was born and raised in Chicago.  She received a bachelor's degree from McNeese State, a master's degree from Full Sail University in educational media design technology, a minister's license, and is currently pursuing a doctoral degree.  With 22 years of experience, Chew motivates and teaches the brilliant scholars of art at D. W. Carter High School in Dallas.  She has a heart of compassion and currently serves as an elder at The Potter's House under the direction of Bishop T. D. Jakes.
