Dallas ISD embraces the diversity of our students and families and provides information to families in need of DACA information and/or resources.

The Margaret and Gilbert Herrera Student Intake Center provides support to families and students new to the country. 

There are three departments in Dallas ISD which offer mental health services:

The Dallas ISD Special Education Department created the Parent Intake Center to strengthen communication with parents and families of special needs students ages 3 to 21 who face significant challenges and need additional support. 

Dallas ISD is committed to removing barriers which prevent students from attending school regularly.
