Mrs. Barnett

My name is Mrs. Barnett your School Counselor. I am so excited to be a part of the Allen family! I’m originally from Chicago, IL, and have been here for approximately 10 years. Prior to becoming a school counselor, I was a Lead Special Education Teacher for approximately 15 years. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family (especially my pup Cosmo). I absolutely love being a school counselor and the interactions with students, staff, and parents is the highlight of my day! I am here to serve our campus, providing individual counseling, small group counseling, and dealing with situations that arise throughout the day. I’m a great listener and should you ever require my services please don’t hesitate to contact me at obarnett@dallasisd.org.
