All aspects of Chapel Hill Preparatory Schooll's organization, curriculum, and extracurricular activities are child centered and designed to accommodate individual learning styles so that all students experience success and learn at a rigorous level.

    • About Chapel Hill Preparatory School

      Chapel Hill Preparatory is a Personalized Learning school that covers PreK 3 - 5th Grade. Personalized Learning (PL) is a one-size-fits-one approach to instruction that customizes the learning of each student by focusing on their strengths, needs, and interests. We aim to ensure that all students achieve at their greatest potential through providing a learning environment that allows student voice and choice in what, how, when, and where each student learns. Chapel Hill became a Personalized Learning school in Fall 2015, and has shown great gains in student acheivement each subsequent year. 

      Chapel Hill Preparatory has a Pre K 3 and 4 program, and extensive after school and extracurricular activities. We have a vibrant learning Real School Garden in our beautiful courtyard space.

      History of Chapel Hill Preparatory School

      Chapel Hill Preparatory was built in 1956, and extensively renovated in 2016 when it became a Personalized Learning school. It is the only Dallas Independant School District school located within the city of Farmers Branch. When the area surrounding Chapel Hill Preparatory joined the city of Farmers Branch, the members of the neighborhood only did so with the agreement that the school would remain within Dallas ISD. Chapel Hill Preparatory is named after the area surrounding it, the informally named suburb of Chapel Hill. The school was formerly named William L. Cabell Elementary, and was renamed Chapel Hill Preparatory in July, 2018. The new name was selected after extensive discussions and much consultation with the community.
