Instructor, Music Production & Music Business
Brian Michaelz is the music theory instructor in the Music Conservatory at the Booker T. Washington HSPVA, where he teachers Music Production and Music Business. Mr. Michaelz comes to us with a history of radio broadcasting, as well as studio and live sound production. After such an extensive career in the music industry, Brian had a desire to add to his experience and started teaching. His dedication not only to the music industry but also to children and their future led him to Booker T. Washington HSPVA.
He has worked with numerous artists and bands in the music industry including but not limited to Alvin Taylor, drummer for Elton John, Jimi Hendrix, George Harrison among others, Riki Hendrix, cousin to Jimi Hendrix, Carnie Wilson of Wilson Phillips and numerous others.
Mr. Michaelz received a High School Diploma from Big Spring High School in Big Spring, Texas. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Music Production, a Master of Science in Entertainment Business; and a Master of Arts in Public Relations all obtained from Full Sail University.
Brian is a loving husband to his wife of eighteen years TJ and and a father to five children Preston, Justin, Emily as well as twins Chet and Sean.
