Mr. S.D. Barentine Bio:

   Welcome parents, guardians, and students! I am excited about starting my 18th year of teaching Special Education as a Redirection / Social Skills teacher in Dallas Independent School District. I have been at Seagoville High School for all but one of those years, of which I taught at Seagoville Middle School.

Seagoville high School is a wonderful learning environment for students and a caring environment for both students and teachers!  My professional goal this year is to create a more positive learning environment by celebrating teacher and student successes as often as possible.

   I graduated from St. Louis University in 1997 with an Undergraduate degree in Business Management with a concentration in Marketing. I gained a teaching certification in Sp.Ed. in 2011. Before being certified as a Sp. Ed. teacher I worked in the business sector as an entrepreneur. 

   My wife and I have been married for 25 years and I have three children. My oldest daughter decided to follow in my footsteps and teaches elementary education in DISD also. I want to welcome you and your scholar to Seagoville High School, and my wish is that this will be the best year ever!
