General InformationSan Jacinto Elementary School is a Texas Education Agency recognized school. Our mission is to provide a learning environment that enhances the academic and behavioral skills needed to be successful in the 21st century. We encourage our students to become lifelong learners by providing for them an excess of research-based opportunities for learning through a rigorous curriculum and real-world applications. Students become vested in their education and become enthusiastic about all facets of learning.San Jacinto Elementary has implemented many innovative programs and research-based instructional practices, placing student academic performance on an upward trend. We pride ourselves on challenging students to perform to their utmost potential. The school's staff connects with parents and the community to ensure student success. Parents are valued partners and are encouraged to participate in school activities. Our staff hosts monthly support workshops for parents on topics ranging from academics to health and social issues. Other parent involvement opportunities include assisting in classrooms, participating in the PTA, and serving on the Campus Improvement Planning and Site-Based Decision Making committees.San Jacinto Elementary believes in the partnership between school and community and has worked in collaboration with the Institute for Excellence in Urban Education. The school provides staff with high-caliber campus-led professional development that is creating a powerful Professional Learning Community concept to improve student achievement.
