Plan Your Move
Dallas ISD is the 2nd largest school district in Texas, serving over 155,000 students. Dallas ISD prides itself on outperforming the state in the 2019 state rating system and continues to be on the cutting edge of educational opportunities.
Though Dallas ISD is a large district, the individual learning experiences make each campus unique. Our schools include single-gendered education, dual-language programs, Montessori and personalized learning, Collegiate Academies, IB programs and more. We believe that a prospective teacher will find a perfect fit campus in our district.
Unique Dallas ISD Programs P-TECH/ECHS/Collegiate Academies
Dallas ISD is committed to improving the quality of instruction by placing an effective teacher in front of every child, an effective principal at every campus, and effective staff in all roles across the District. Our efforts to transform Dallas ISD have focused on investing in our people and developing our human capital. In particular, we have fundamentally changed how we assess principal, assistant principal, counselor and teacher effectiveness. Evaluations are now tied to student achievement results and other key performance metrics. Compensation for principals, assistant principals, and teachers is tied to overall effectiveness.
