  • Dallas ISD offers 218 pathways and 243 different Career and Technical Education courses classified in the 14 programs of study. Career clusters include: Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources, Architecture and Construction, Arts, Audio Visual Technology, and Communications, Business, Marketing, and Finance, Education and Training, Energy, Health Science, Hospitality and Tourism, Human Services, Information Technology, Law and Public Service, Manufacturing, Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), and Transportation, Distribution, and Logistics.
    Over 42,000 students were served through Career and Technical Education programs.
    Over 4,600 industry certifications were earned by students enrolled in Career and Technical Education courses during the 2018-2019 school year. A sampling of the certifications earned include Microsoft Office Specialist, Registered Dental Assisting, Powered Industrial Trucks, QuickBooks Certified User, Automotive Service Excellence, and ServSafe Food Protection Manager. 
    Dallas ISD currently has 49 NAF academies in 20 high schools – serving over 10,000 students. NAF academies are theme-based. Themes include Academies of Engineering, Academies of Finance, Academies of Health Sciences, Academies of Hospitality and Tourism, and Academies of Information Technology.  Dallas ISD has 23 Distinguished Academies of 41 across the United States and one Model academy. Distinguished is the highest level awarded by NAF.
