Academics at Caillet
At Caillet, we beleive that students begin to discover the joy of learning at an early age. That's why we provide a strong academic foundation, teaching students as young as pre-K to think critically about the world around them while encouraging them to explore their interests and creativity.
We work to set the stage for students to acquire the skills to be effective and engaged learners. They learn to anaylze, synthesize and think critically, to listen carefully and ask questions, to appreciate diverse perspectives, and to cooperate and collaborate with others. These are the foundational skills that will prepare them for future success throughout school and in their lives beyond.
The Dallas ISD provides Curriculum Guides for each grade level, so parents can understand what is expected of students in every subject and every grade level.
The Texas Essential Knowledege and Skills (TEKS), are the state standards for what students should know and be able to do. The State Board of Education (SBOE) has the legislative authority to adopt the TEKS for each grade/subject. The TEKS Resource Parent Portal articulates the expectations of students that are identified from the TEKS.
