Welcome to English II
with Ms. Stone
Through class discussions as well as close reading and writing tasks, students will study diverse pieces of literature while making relevant connections to each text’s social, cultural and political references and literary impact. In their responses, essays, and multimedia presentations, students will draw on multiple sources, including literary, informational, and multimedia texts, in order to delve more deeply into critical and analytical thinking and argumentative writing. Mastery of these skills will be presented, measured and monitored using Dallas ISD’s Grade 10 English Language Arts and Reading TEKS.

About Me
I was born and raised in Queens, NY and have had the privilege of teaching for over 10 years in several different cities. I enjoy listening to music, dancing to soca/dancehall, singing karaoke (loudly and off key), and going for leisurely drives.
My philosophy of education is simple: All students have the right, and therefore should be provided with the opportunity, to receive an outstanding educational experience.
