School Bio:
Anne Frank Elementary School is located in far north Dallas. It is the only school in Texas named after a child and the only school in the country that was built with the name Anne Frank. As the largest elementary school in Dallas, it serves students from as many as 30 countries who speak more than 20 languages. This diversity creates an appreciation and understanding of different cultures. Through music, films, plays, special programs, and visits to museums, the appreciation for cultural diversity is constantly stressed.
Frank Elementary's curriculum is a well-balanced combination of the core subjects in which the arts are fully integrated. At Anne Frank, the expectations are high and the curriculum prepares students to meet future educational challenges as lifelong learners and critical thinkers.
The students are aware of the importance of giving back to the community that so readily supports their desire to achieve excellence. This awareness is demonstrated through the many service projects and community performances in which students participate. The community and parents play an integral role in the school’s mission: to create a positive environment that promotes academic excellence, builds strong character, and prepares students to be productive citizens in our multicultural society.
