Esteemed Obadiah Knight Community,
It is with great pleasure that I write this letter as the new principal of Obadiah Knight Elementary. I have been meeting with teachers, staff, and some community members, and I can say it is an honor to serve in such a special place.
Marking my 17th year in education, I taught in the North Dallas Feeder for ten years and have served as an administrator for the past six years in elementary and secondary schools.
This past summer, I was able to meet with former principal, Mr. Escobedo, several times to help create a smooth transition. Along those lines, I will continue to meet with parents and community members to ensure that we work together for the best interest of our students.
My goals are to continue the strong legacy of instructional excellence (rated an “A” by the state) and to continue to fortify the positive student and staff culture of Obadiah Knight. When we capture a child’s heart, we will capture his/ her mind; therefore, it is important to me that we educate students in joyful environments full of high academic expectations. With amazing partners such as yourselves, I know that we are on our way to new and amazing possibilities for our scholars!
Please do not hesitate to reach out to me with questions, concerns, or ideas you would like to share.
Blanca Rojo, Principal
Obadiah Knight Elementary
Nothing matters more than learning and loving!
