Bio: It is my great pleasure to introduce myself as the newly appointed principal of Sam Tasby Middle School. It is truly an honor to serve at a school with a rich history named after the late great Sam Tasby, an unsung hero. I am elated to be a part of a school known for its awesome staff, students, and community.
I come to Tasby with 20+ years of experience in Dallas ISD. I have been honored to serve in numerous roles, such as teacher, Campus Instructional Coach, Assistant Principal, and, most recently, Principal Resident. I have had the privilege of working in elementary, middle, and high school serving various contents such as ELAR, Math, Science, Social Studies, Special Education, Electives, and CTE.
My educational background consists of a Master of Education Administration from Lamar University, a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix, and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Tarleton State University. I am in my final year of completing my Educational Doctorate in Learning and Organizational Change at Baylor University. I am certified by the Texas State Board of Education: Principal Certification, ESL Supplemental, and English Language Arts and Reading.
My vision for Sam Tasby Middle School is excellence for all…Through a collaborative effort with leadership, counselors, and staff, we hope to bring the best out of your students. I value your child’s education as if it were my own children’s education. I look forward to working in partnership with you and the community to make Sam Tasby an exemplary middle school during my tenure.
I have been happily married to my wonderful husband for 14 amazing years. We have two beautiful and active daughters, Camille and Carmyn. I am also a proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Incorporated. I am also a member of the Dallas School Administrators Association (DSAA) and the Association of Hispanic School Administrators.
