It is with great pride and excitement that I write this letter of introduction to you as the newly appointed principal of Cedar Crest Elementary School. I am honored to have the opportunity to lead a school with a rich tradition of education. I have been dedicated to the field of education for over twenty years. I have worked with a variety of grade levels ranging from Prekindergarten through sixth grade.
My most recent administrative experience is as the assistant principal at Cedar Crest. I am excited and elated to continue to bring my educational leadership skills of excellence to the school and work with you as a partner in education to ensure your child’s success. Along with the teachers and staff, I will be committed to continuing the legacy established at Cedar Crest by building a strong relationship with parents, students, and community partners. We will focus on our core values of having a growth mindset, high quality instruction, and inspiring relationships. The core values will ensure our focus will be on the love of reading, math, and science, the use of data to drive instruction, and consistency in implementing the curriculum in a rigorous manner so that we can continue to increase student achievement.
All of us at Cedar Crest Elementary are excited to provide our students with an experience like no other. This year is going to be amazing as we continue to provide academic experiences for our students that are rigorous and relevant, and that help them build relationships while making real-world connections. As your principal, it is very important to me that everyone who steps through our doors-teachers, students and parents-are eager to be here! This attitude enables us to meet the challenges of academic excellence in a positive, fun, and nurturing environment. My door is always open, and I welcome your input. Please feel free to call or email me to discuss any concerns you might have throughout the school year. I look forward to working with you as a team in order to help each student at Cedar Crest meet their goals and have a successful school year!
