• Aerial Drone Competition: BLACKOUT

    Students will master the art of flying and programming aerial drones in order to navigate an obstacle field while trying to score the maximum number of points. Our team will compete in aerial drone competitions in the spring semester. The Aerial Drome Team meets in the gym every Wednesday (4:30-5:30pm).

    Our first Aerial Drone Competition took place on Saturday, January 28 at Sanger Prepatory School in Dallas. It was the very first competition of its kind in Dallas ISD, and the STAG OwlDrones could not be denied. The OwlDrones did a fantastic job in taking home the coveted Judges Award!! Way to go, Owls!! Wings Wide!! Owl Pride!!

    The OwlDrones' second competition, Blackout #2, took place on Saturday, March 11 at Wilmer Hutchins High School in Dallas. Our OwlDrones, despite some technical issues, managed to make it to the semi-finals, taking down the #2 and #4 seeds along the way!! Great job, Owls.

    In addition, our OwlDrones took the Programmers Award for their programming excellence!! Wings Wide, Owl Pride!!
