Ms. Jana James has educated students in the Dallas Independent School District for more than 20 years. She began her career in DallasISD at The Thomas Tolbert Elementary School. Having spent over twelve years in the classroom teaching students from Pre-Kindergarten to fifth grade, she became the Campus Instructional Reading Coach at John Neely Bryan Elementary School for six years, providing academic support to students and professional support to teachers. Following her years of service as an Instructional Coach, she was promoted to serve as the Assistant Principal of Birdie Alexander Elementary School from 2020.
