The School of Science and Engineering is a college preparatory program that provides a world-class education with an accelerated STEM focus. Students who love math, science, and engineering will feel right at home in SEM’s distinctive culture.

SEM is the pre-eminent STEM magnet in the Dallas Independent School District. It is located at the Townview Magnet Center in Oak Cliff which houses six magnet schools creating a vibrant learning environment.

Building students with the knowledge, skills, character, and love of learning to be globally competitive in STEM fields.

We established three pillars to achieve that goal:

1. Building multi-disciplinary fluency: reading & writing
2. Enhancing our student engineering experience
3. Building upon our globally recognized and competitive math and science programs

The School of Science and Engineering is a learning community established to provide students with a rigorous college preparatory, academic and technical program relating to the sciences, mathematics and engineering fields.
