• Our Strong Partnership with the PTA

    At Alex Sanger Preparatory, we are incredibly fortunate to have a dedicated and vibrant PTA that plays a crucial role in enriching the educational experience for our students. Our PTA sponsors numerous community events throughout the year, including the Back to School Bash, a middle school dance, a Father-Daughter Dance, and a Mother-Son Dance. They also provide each teacher with a $100 gift card to decorate their classroom, ensuring our learning environments are as inspiring as our educational mission, and the winter holiday party.

    The PTA’s commitment to fostering growth extends beyond these events. They sponsor our school garden, creating a green space for hands-on learning and environmental stewardship. Additionally, they generously fund professional development opportunities, sending a group of our teachers to prestigious conferences such as the National Council for Teachers of Mathematics and the National Council for Teachers of English Summer Conference in New Orleans.

    This robust support is vital to our vision of being a premier school that delivers a world-class education. Our PTA's dedication ensures that we not only meet but exceed the expectations of our students and families. Their fundraising efforts, which bring in tens of thousands of dollars annually, are a testament to the strength of our community. Every dollar raised directly benefits the students at Sanger, furthering our mission to provide an exceptional educational experience.

    Together, with the unwavering support of our PTA, we continue to build a school where every child can thrive and reach their fullest potential.

    Hello Alex Sanger Parents & Guardians!

    Welcome back to another school year! I’m thrilled to welcome you to the Sanger community, and I’m honored to serve as your PTA President. My name is Becki Howard, and I’m the proud parent of a
    third-grader.

    Whether you’re new or seasoned here at Sanger, I understand that navigating the start of a new school year can be both exciting and a bit overwhelming. Please know that the PTA is here to support you and
    your child every step of the way. Our goal is to build a strong partnership between home and school, creating a vibrant and inclusive environment for all students and families. As our previous PTA President, Dixie Kachiros, wisely said, “At Sanger, PTA is not a noun, it's a verb.”

    We’re committed to advocating for our children’s education, supporting our incredible teachers and staff, and organizing fun and engaging school events. Your involvement is the heart of our PTA. We have many exciting plans for the year ahead, and your participation, whether it's attending meetings, volunteering for events like the Back to School Bash or Sanger Cinema Night, or supporting our Annual Fundraiser, makes a significant difference.

    Joining the PTA is easy! Membership is just $10 and you can sign up at any PTA meeting, school event, or online through our school website, and you can also access our spirit gear store, meal calendar, and school events calendar as well. We’d love you to join us at our first General PTA Meeting on the evening of Tuesday, August 27th in the auditorium - stay tuned for details! You don’t have to be a member to attend!
