CityLab High School is proud to partner with Carter Bloodcare.
Carter BloodCare provides lifesaving transfusion resources to more than 200 medical facilities in over 50 counties throughout North, Central and East Texas. Each year, they provide more than 440,000 units of blood and blood components to meet patients’ treatment requirements. Services include collection, processing, specialized laboratory testing, storage, and distribution of blood and blood components.
Honor Cord Program

The Honor Cord Program recognizes excellence in students for their participation in the high school blood drive program and emphasizes the value of community service through blood donation, while promoting the importance of a healthy lifestyle.
The Honor Cord program awards students at participating schools that have met the following criteria during their senior year:
- School
- Host a minimum of 2 blood drives with Carter BloodCare during the current school year
- The blood drives need to be held at the high school and occur during school hours
- Student
- Donate a minimum of 2 blood donations during your Senior year
- Students ineligible to donate blood due to age, weight, or medical restrictions may be eligible by one of the following
- Actively participate as a volunteer in your high school's blood drive committee
- Ask an adult to donate in your name - students cannot donate for other students
- School
