Sharon Cornell

PR Specialist/Magnet Coordinator

Sharon Holland Modabberi Cornell was born and raised in Dallas, Texas, where she attended Dallas I.S.D. schools, graduating with a concentration in dance from Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts (BTWHSPVA) formerly known as the Arts Magnet.

After high school, she graduated from the University of Texas, Arlington with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Communications. Now she is the Magnet Coordinator/Public Relations Specialist at BTWHSPVA. In that position she regularly coordinates communications with television and print media personnel and the school, writes news releases, oversees the application process and directs the annual Senior Showcase.

She has over 25 years of experience in public relations and has been a guest speaker at events in the U.S., the U.K. and Bermuda. Sharon is a member of many community and arts boards in the Dallas area. In 2019, she was awarded the Revolutionary Award from the Arts Magnet Advisory Board for outstanding contributions to the arts. Her family has a deep educational and community history in Dallas with a school named after her grandfather. She is married and has three adult children and two stepchildren that all graduated from BTWHSPVA.

Benjamin Doan-Stevens

Student Success Coordinator

Mr. Doan-Stevens served for five years as Booker T's production Coordinator. After finishing his Masters in 2023 he is transitioning to a new role as Student Success Coordinator. In this role he will serve as the primary case manager for all 504 students, new and existing; testing coordinator; AP coordinator; develop and implement campus wide initiatives to support student success; and serve on the Student Support team. Mr. Doan-Stevens loves traveling and often takes students on international trips when school is not in session.
