Dyslexia Training Program
Highland Meadows and the Dallas ISD Dyslexia Services department utilize the Literacy and Dyslexia Training Programs by Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children to support multisensory structured language teaching. Students meet daily with an instructor for a structured multi-sensory lesson incorporating alphabet sequencing, reading, spelling, cursive handwriting, listening, language history, letter sound identification, prefixes and suffixes, and review activities.Visit the International Dyslexia Association website for more information, including Just the Facts:A Parent's Guide to Effective Instruction.
