T.C. Marsh Dance Department

The dance department at TC Marsh Preparatory Academy consists of a movement-based curriculum that is focused on developing well-rounded, technically skilled and intelligent young dancers and performers.  Together, we will: 

• Cultivate inspired dancers who are passionate about movement as an art form. 
• Promote positive self-esteem, self-confidence and self-discipline.
• Develop empowered dancers, storytellers and arts advocates.
• Collaborate to create a brave, not perfect, space for dancing while learning the techniques of ballet, modern, jazz, tap, dance team and cultural genres of dance.

Dancers in 6th and 7th grade are invited to audition for the Golden Girls Dance Company in the spring of each year.  The Golden Girls represent TC Marsh on campus and in the community by performing at sporting events and fine arts showcases.  The Dance Department and Dance Company are under the direction of Jaime Calvillo.
