    How the Program Works:
The Early College High School (ECHS) program provides a rigorous avenue toward college readiness.  Students are placed on a dual credit path that will help them receive an Associate degree upon their high school graduation.
ECHS students spend their 9th and 10th grade years on the W.W. Samuell High School campus taking accelerated and advanced core courses. This is to insure their success in handling four full-time college semesters during their 11th and 12th grade years at Eastfield Community College.

The ECHS program offers students a seamless transition from high school to the four-year university.

    Program Costs:

    • College tuition is paid through scholarships provided by the Dallas County Community College District.
    • Books and transportation are paid for through Dallas ISD.
    • Success in the program is dependent upon  each individual student's full effort, motivation and sacrifice.
To be considered a candidate for the ECHS program please see our admissions page. Admissions Overview
