Larry Schnitzer is currently the Head of Winds and Percussion at Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Dallas and is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin. Bands under Mr. Schnitzer's direction have earned 24 UIL Sweepstakes awards while winning 19 contests at both the regional and national levels in six different states. During his tenure, the Booker T. Washington HSPVA Wind Ensemble has been a feature performer in the "National Youth Concert Series" at Carnegie Hall in New York City, the UIL State Wind Ensemble Festival in Austin, and has been a national winner in the "Mark of Excellence" recording project. Mr. Schnitzer is an active clinician and adjudicator.
