By downloading the Dallas ISD app, you can easily stay in touch with Dallas ISD and your children's schools. You will receive timely push and emergency notifications and have access to the latest news, calendars and updates from  the district and your children's schools. 

The app was designed to work with iOS (Apple) and Android systems.

In addition to the latest news, calendars and updates, as a parent, you can find direct access to your PowerSchool parent account, transportation routes, directions and contact information to schools, and menus, as well as information on district sporting events and the Board of Trustees. You will also have direct access to the district's social media accounts.

Yes, you can download the app on your phone, tablet or any other mobile device. Because the app doesn't require unique sign-in credentials, it will not be linked in all devices. You will have to set up the app each time you download it to a new device—a quick, simple process that includes step-by-step guided instructions.

The app is avilable in English, Spanish, Arabic, Burmese, French, and Swahili.

Notifications are not automatically translated by the app and will retain the language in which it was sent. 

If any updates are made to the app, users will receive a notification to update the app to the latest version in the same way that is done for any other mobile app.

All notification are free and there will be no charges for the recepient. 

Yes, the schools will continue to use all available channels of communication to share important information with parents. The new mobile app is just an additional way through which we can communicate the great things that are happening at the district and let parents know about important updates.

If you want to download the app but do not want to receive notifications, you can deactivate this feature for the app in the phone settings. However, notifications will  include emergency announcements when appropriate, so we recommend not turning off the notification feature. 

Yes, the app is a great way to keep up with district news and events and also receive notifications. When promopted to set up the app after dowloading, choose the schools you are interested in from the menu. You will start receiving notifications when the schools send them. You will also get notifications from the district. If you want to add schools or want to stop receiving notifications from a school on your list, go to Settings and turn your preferences on or off. 

Everyone who downloads the app will receive district level notifications. If you are a school-based Dallas ISD employee, you can choose to receive notifications from your school. We will also have a staff option so we can share information with Dallas ISD employees who have downloaded the app regardless of where they are assigned.
