    O W Holmes believes that an organized, structured environment provides students the motivation to explore and learn. It is especially important for middle school students to maintained organize learning materials. To assist with that aim, below is a short list of basic student supplies. Individual teachers will probably add to this list with specific requirements, but the general list below should help you get started:

     

    ·        1 - 3 inch, 3-ring binder with 1 set 8 tab subject dividers

    ·        2 – Boxes facial tissue, 175 count or larger

    ·        Graph paper

    ·        2 pkg. Filler paper

    ·        Pencils – either wood or mechanical

    ·        1 - 3 inch, 3-ring binder with 1 set 7 tab subject dividers for LA/R

    ·        1 - Spiral Tablet 70 count (College Ruled) for LA/R

    ·        1 – 2 or 2 1/2 inch, 3-ring binder with 1 set 5 tab subject dividers for Science

    ·        1 - 2 or 2 1/2 inch, 3-ring binder with 1 set 5 tab subject dividers for Texas Studies

    ·        1 Plastic Accordion File with tabs for Mathematics

    ·        Graph paper- 1 package

    ·        1 – Composition Book (any color) for Mathematics

    ·        1 - Zipper pouch or plastic box with the following supplies

    o  Pencils – wood or mechanical

    o  Ruler – plastic 12”

    o  Scissors

    o  4 – Highlighters (assorted colors)

    o  7” (12 count) Crayola map coloring pencils

    o  Erasers

    •         Earbuds/Headphones
    •         Travel/Flash Drive
