Mr. Aaron Joseph

Principal Joseph has dedicated his career to the challenges faced in urban education, uplifted by the inspiring work of Dallas ISD, mentored by impactful leaders, and working alongside those he leads to make a lasting impact on the communities he has served.

Before beginning a career in teaching, Principal Joseph worked as a Detention Officer in Houston's Harris County juvenile and adult correctional facilities.

When Principal Joseph realized he wanted to impact young people's lives before entering the juvenile justice system, he turned to work in schools to help him achieve his goal. He began his education as a 2014 Teach For America Mississippi Corps Member, serving as a 6th and 7th grade Math Teacher.

Returning to Texas, Principal Joseph landed in Dallas ISD and has served in middle and elementary schools as a Teacher, Campus Instructional Coach, and Assistant Principal. In addition, he served as Northeast Network Coordinator, where he saw first-hand the transition from elementary to middle school and got to know the schools and leaders in the Skyline feeder pattern.

Through these experiences, Principal Joseph has become convinced that the elementary years are crucial for laying the foundation for all student achievement that comes after. He passionately believes that the best teachers impact students' lives beyond the classroom and that every student has the capacity to create a better world.

Principal Joseph is eager to continue building relationships that will ensure our students become the agents of change they are meant to be. His goal for accelerating success is to Listen & Learn before Leading.
