Breakdown of Possible Point Distribution:
NNAT (up to 10 points)
The NNAT (Naglieri Nonverbal Ability Test) The NNAT utilizes shapes and figures to evaluate the problem-solving and reasoning abilities of a child without relying on their language skills.
Math Assessment (up to 25 points)
The Math Assessment requires students to identify shapes, count/write numbers up to 100, compare the size of objects and compare quantities of objects (up to 10).
Reading Assessment (up to 25 points)
The Reading Assessment is read aloud to students and students answer comprehension questions. Students must also write the alphabet.
Writing Assessment (up to 5 points)
The Writing Assessment requires students to write their ABC’s.
Observation (up to 30 points)
Applicants are observed doing a group task and receiving a Montessori lesson.
The Observation rubric scores cooperation, following directions, working without disturbing others, self control and separating from adults.
Teacher Survey (up to 5 points)
The applicant's current teacher will complete a survey rating students' academic achievement, potential and behavior.
