It is the most wonderful time of the year - Booker T Angels! Booker T. Angels is an annual event for the Student Council at Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing & Visual Arts. Each year, the students, staff, and families of Booker T. adopt struggling families (from a local DISD Elementary School) for the Holidays!

This year the Conservatories (Academic, Dance, Music, Theatre, Visual Arts), PTSA, and Student Council have joined efforts to have one big celebration for our Booker T Angel Families. We are making the Need/Wish List for the families a little different and hope that it gives you options to have the opportunity to donate money, shop if you prefer, or order selected gifts on Amazon.
How can you help?
Option 1:
If you want to donate money, monetary donations will be used to buy much-needed school uniforms and subsidize the larger dollar items.
You can put the money in an envelope with your name on it and have your child drop off to Cathy Vernon in Room 106 or
OR, Venmo your donation to Kimberly Smith (@kimberlyBsmith) and include "BOOKER T ANGELS" in the description.
And just in time for Black Friday shopping...
Option 2:
If you want to order on Amazon and have it shipped directly to the school, please click HERE

We will be helping six families that include 14 adults and 31 children. Our Families comprise of one family that just arrived from Honduras, a larger blended family, a single mom, a family with 10 children, a family that experienced a house fire and lost everything, and one more beautiful family.
The Booker T Angel party will be on Friday, December 13th. We are in the process of finalizing the activities which will include dinner, entertainment by the Music Conservatory, Gingerbread House making, a special visit from Santa and opportunity to take pictures, and a Holiday Store where the children can select a gift, wrap it, and make cards for their parents to take home for their holiday celebrations.
Thank you for helping us make a difference in the lives of others!
