Nonprofit Closing the Gap in Low-Income Neighborhoods
Branden Williams is the Founder and Executive Director of Seeds to STEM (STS), a nonprofit that works to evaluate, educate, and develop students in STEM-related fields. His organization serves more than 300 students annually through partnerships, including a new one with Dallas ISD Career and Technical Education. With its fresh take on STEM immersion, STS is working to close the gap in low-income neighborhoods throughout Dallas.
Branden was named to the list of Future 50 in Dallas Innovates (page 42). He is one of the innovators and disruptors in DFW who is having a breakout moment.
In a new multi-part series, Branden was asked to participate with other Dallas-Fort Worth-based Black entrepreneurs in an interview with Dallas Innovates to speak on what all people can do to join the fight against social injustice. They discuss what conversations companies should be having in regards to diversity, what resources are out there to amplify founders of color, and share their own perspective and personal experiences from the past few months.
In Dallas Innovates Article On May 20th, 2020, Branden was able to pitch the Seeds to STEM ideas to Social Venture Partners Dallas on important social innovation work in our North Texas community.
