On March 26, 2020, the Board of Trustees approved adoption of the following policy:
DEAB (LOCAL) COMPENSATION PLAN – WAGE AND HOUR LAWS
DEAB (LOCAL) was brought forward by the Administration to align with current practice and protocol and to include TASB Update 102 recommendations. Below are the details:
Page 1: The following sections and associated language have been added to a new DEAB(LOCAL): Classification of Positions with subsections for Exempt and Nonexempt, Workweek, and Compensatory Time.
Page 1: Under section Compensatory Time, a reference to see DEA(REGULATION) for information regarding overtime payment for nonexempt employees has been added.
Page 1: The section Adoption or Last Amendment Date and associated language, including the anticipated date for Board action, has been added.

The policy has been sent to the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) for inclusion to the District’s “Policy On Line Manual.” Documents generally will post within a few weeks of adoption.
