The Student Health Advisory Council (SHAC) charter, submitted via BDF (EXHIBIT), was created to align with BDF(LOCAL) that states advisory committees should have a charter that establishes membership qualifications, purpose, and length of service.

The SHAC charter was brought forward to align with BDF (LOCAL) as part of an overall examination of policies related to the District School Health Advisory Council.

Please visit http://www.boarddocs.com/tx/disd/Board.nsf/vpublic for Board adopted local policies.

The above items have been sent to the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) for inclusion to the District’s “Policy On Line Manual.” Documents generally will post within a few weeks of adoption.
