Leadership Team is Transforming Education at Its Core

The John Q. Adams Leadership team is one of 12 teams working with the Teaching Trust to transform education in Dallas ISD.  The Executive Ed-Program for Teams is a high impact, multi-phase professional development experience for school leadership teams. Team development is critical given the scope of the principal's responsibilities and the need to build leadership capacity among team members while developing school wide capacity. Throughout the year, each team works with a Teaching Trust leadership coach to strengthen their team, establish goals, develop a common language, and develop tools for campus level work. Learning is embedded between workshops with action learning projects tailored to each campus.

Educational Equity: Work is prioritized based on its impact in eliminating the achievement gap.

  • Reflection and Growth: We seek feedback and modify behavior to achieve results.
  • Disciplined Action: We are unequivocally results and competencies driven.
  • Courage and Resilience: We take strategic risks, rebound, and persevere.
  • Entrepreneurial Mindset: We own our outcomes and act with urgency.
