SEM Visitor Policy



All visitors, including parents, family members, and volunteers must report to the main doors (located off E 8th St., by flag poles) with a picture ID for a visitor’s ID badge upon entering the school. Visitors must wear their visitor's pass at all times. There are small windows of time where an assigned security monitor will be present to welcome you at the door. Otherwise, school welcome signs are posted with the school's office phone number for you to call and someone from the office will come out to greet you. Open access to school premises is prohibited. We are currently not allowing former students/alumni to visit teachers, etc.
School starts at 9:10AM. The main doors will open at 8:45AM to accept visitors. If you have a pre-arranged meeting before 8:45AM, please ensure you arrange for your specific magnet office to greet you at the front doors, check you in, and escort you to your meeting location. Again, the main doors will open at 8:45Am to accept visitors. 
  • Student tours will occur during designated dates/times only. Info TBA. 
  • Volunteers and guest speakers must complete this brief volunteer application & background check 5 days prior to your scheduled visit.
